Some No-CD/Fixed EXE files work fine in Single Player mode but are detected to be modified when trying to play online. When this happens use the original EXE to play online, else you could find yourself banned from the game!.
When using Fixed Files make sure to use a Firewall which controls outgoing traffic, as some games call back to report the use of these modified files!. Some original games do not work when a certain application has been installed, like DAEMON Tools. In most cases using a No-CD or Fixed EXE will solve this problem!. Some Game Trainers are sometimes reported to be a Virus or Trojan, the most common is a keylogger called HotKeysHook or the file has been packed/protected with VMProtect or Themida and is recognized as Win32/Packed.VMProtect or Win32/Packed.Themida. In ALL cases this is a FALSE ALARM as NONE of the Game Trainers @ GCW contain known malicious code! More info in the!. If you have problems using a trainer in combination with Windows Vista, 7, 8 or 10 then make sure to run the trainer with Administrator rights and when needed in Windows XP or Windows 98 compatibility mode!.
ALL available trainers are for Single Player/Offline use ONLY! Don't try to use them online else your account can/will be banned/closed!

Spiderwick Chronicles is a short, slow-paced, easy game without essentially no replay value, and I wouldn't recommend it to any adults I know. However, it is nearly perfect for my 5-year old daughter. Yes, the box says 10+, but I can confidently say that any small child who can read and has ever encountered any sort of cartoon, television, or video game violence can handle it.
Setting: You play three siblings, two nine year old boys and a thirteen year old girl, who move into a new house in the country and discover that there are faeries everywhere. The graphics, while far from outstanding, are acceptable and there are lots of trees, flowers, and flying faeries everywhere. Gameplay: You switch back and forth between the three characters, depending on the part of the story you are in. There are three main types of missions that you do: 1) Beat up goblins.
There are tons of them, but except for boss fights, they only come in waves of three or so. On the easiest setting you have essentially no chance of being killed by them and there are essentially only two combos: X then A, or AAAA. As my daughter plays Soul Calibur, the combat is a non-issue, but any child should be able to handle AAAA. You can also shoot but 99% of the time this is completely optional.
2) Capture and paint faeries. You spend a lot of time finding faeries, grabbing them with a butterfly net, and painting them in a very simple mini game. As they all fly around in plain sight they are easy to find, and if you fail the mini game you just need to catch them again, something that can generally be done literally less than a second after failing. My daughter loves this.
3) Fetch quests. Unlike most games with fetch quests, these have very explicit hints.
For example, right in the beginning you need to assemble a monocle with two items. If you open your book (menu) and click on the quest it says that there are two parts, and the first part is a lens which you can get from the telescope in the attic.
This is perfect for small children - the words and sentences are simple, so they get to practice reading, and they get pointed in the right direction so there is very little aimless wandering. The pace is leisurely so it is much less stressful than many games, the maps are fairly small so it is nearly impossible to get lost, the auto-saves are frequent, and healing is abundant.
All good things for children. Problems: There are a couple of issues. The first is that there are two sections, both of which are chase scenes, which are substantially harder than the rest of the game. Seeing as I got frustrated with the second, I'm not sure how she'll handle them, but they are under a minute each and a 7-8 year old should be able to do them without difficulty. The second is that when you do manage to die, typically by falling off a ledge, you restart the section from your last save point.

The jumps aren't particularly hard, but considering how easy everything else is it can be a shock, and a system more like the LEGO one where you reappear at the top of the ledge might have been more appropriate. These are minor quibbles, however, and I heartily recommend this game for small children everywhere, and for that audience it is one of the best games on the 360, earning a solid 4 stars.
As I give it 2 stars for adults, that makes it a 3 star game overall. TA Score for this game: Posted on 18 November 08 at 22:37 This review has 13 positive votes and 9 negative votes. Please log in to vote. Whatever you do, do not buy this game.
This is one for the rental list at best. The story takes around 7 hours if you aren't trying very hard, but can be finished more quickly if you follow a walkthrough and concentrate. Everything you might need to interact with has a hand icon near it. This takes away any exploration you might have wanted to do.
There is a local multiplayer mode which is a bit rubbish too. Only 4 very small areas to work in, and only 2 different game modes; Sprite collection only, involves you running around catching the glowing sprites until you reach a user chosen cut-off. This can be 5 or 10 minutes, or a points target. Sprites and Goblins, involves you running around catching the glowing sprites or if you want, just killing goblins until you reach the same user chosen cut-off as sprite collection only. That's basically it for the gameplay.
Now the soundtrack. This is ok, nothing special, just some twinkly music which thankfully doesn't get too irritating. It even changes based on context, in the middle of a battle with the goblins it gets more dramatic, when simply running around it's very light. This is not exactly an innovative feature but at least it's present.
Finally the graphics. As the game was developed for DS, PC, Wii, PS2 and 360, it feels like the graphics would be good on the DS perhaps and that was the best they bothered to develop.
